After a career in the conveyor and belting industry, Hein established a truss manufacturing plant in Stikland in the Cape in 1996. As the requests for complete roofing solutions started to flood in, Hein realized there was a space in the market. He trained craftsmen in the art of roofing and founded DC Roofing which was, and remains, a truss design and installation
enterprise with 27 years of experience.

Chris has an engineering background in automotive and armaments fine engineering. He moved to the Cape in 1996 for family reasons and took a position in the marine engineering sector. He then moved into construction and has since been involved in this sector. Head-hunted by Macsteel from the roll forming industry in early 2012, his purpose was to resolve technical roofing issues both on site and in production. He quickly climbed the ranks to become Sales Manager for the Value-Added department specialising in roofing, cut to-length and cold form section products. Chris joined Supreme Roofing and Steel in September 2023.
